Paint the Town!
APPLICATION DEADLINE
EXTENDED TO MARCH 18!
In conjunction with the Bluebonnet Blues & Fine Arts Festival, Marble Falls Historic Main Street Association will hold its third annual Paint the Town plein air painting event in the historic downtown area of Marble Falls. Juried artists will set up their easels in a location of their choice in the downtown area. Collectors are invited to attend and watch the artists at work.
This year’s event will cover three days. Three winning paintings created at the show will be awarded $1500 in prize money, and medals designed by sculptor, Dan Pogue. An artists’ reception with wine and hors d’oervre’s will be held Saturday evening. Awards will be presented at the artists’ reception.
A silent auction for event-produced paintings will begin Saturday evening, and continue Sunday until 3:00 pm. Artists may also display and sell up to three of their own works (not painted at the event) in the exhibit tent during all three days. Historic Main Street Association will retain a 25% commission on sales of all paintings on exhibit.
